How to Stay Healthy & Happy While Traveling

Now that the world is starting to open up, people are wanting to get back out and explore. Whether you are traveling for work or pleasure, it can be challenging to make healthy choices that allow you to feel your best. Here are a few of my favorite ways to stay on track when going on vacation.

Bring the Goods

Traveling takes time, and chances are you will be hungry during the time it takes to get to your destination. I always like to bring my own airplane/road trip snacks. Not only does this save money, it gives you control over your choices. Bring your favorite, healthy snacks and consider packing extra for the duration of your trip. Planning ahead is key to making smart choices.

Stock Your Hotel Room

Once you arrive at your destination, head to a grocery store and stock up on items that require little or no prep. Some of my favorites include green juices, fruit, deli meat, yogurt and protein bars. Having these as options will allow you to make choices that are not fueled by extreme hunger or desperation.

Pack Your Favorite Supplements

If you are like me, bloating tends to be an issue while traveling. When I stray from my regular routine/eating habits I tend to bloat and feel uncomfortable as a result. I always travel with my NeoraFit Supplements and love to use the Block + Balance Pre and Probiotic. This powder is easy to mix into water and tastes amazing. Not only will it prevent bloating, but it also will help curb cravings, ease digestion and support your immune system. Start your day with Block + Balance and let your fear of bloat fade away!

Drink Your Water and Move!

One of the easiest things you can do on vacation is drink water. Pack a water bottle and continue to fill it up throughout your trip. In addition to drinking lots of water, do your best to get in some form of movement every day. Even if you opt to do a quick, 10 minute guided hotel workout or a morning walk to coffee, find time daily to break a little sweat.

Check out the Menu Ahead of Time

Vacation means going out to eat and enjoying yourself. Instead of fearing restaurants and worrying about what choice to make, take a look at the menu before you sit down at the table. Looking ahead allows you to plan ahead. Decide what options work best for you and go to the restaurant confident with your choice.

I hope everyone can find value in these tips and has the best time on their next vacation!
